Due to popular demand (e.g. you lot being very demanding!), Dave will be running a tasting evening each Thursday between now and Christmas from 7pm, in the wine shop.
The first running on Thursday 11th November, will be a proper sit-down tasting introducing you to some of the iconic wines of Italy (there are a thousand different wine grapes grown in Italy so we’re leaving room for another visit!).
Because of the ever-present cloud of Covid I’m afraid we have to restrict the numbers (boo!), so if you’d like to come along please let us know ASAP or purchase your tickets using the link below.
If this is a popular event and we can’t fit enough people in we’ll find a bigger venue for the future!
IMPORTANT - wine is always better with friends and because we have very limited space please try to come as a group of FOUR (the number we can fit around each table). We will manage a couple of ones or twos but 4 is very much the optimum number. If you are coming as a pair or any other number, please let us know if you are NOT prepared to sit with other people so we can be properly prepared.
As this is the first event we’re not going to lay on any food - we’ll be asking you whether you would like food in future as well as for other feedback.
If you’d like to bring some cheese or nibbles with you then you are very welcome to do so, just please be prepared to take home any washing-up!
As this is the first event we’ll only be charging £10 per head to cover costs - for that you’ll get to try ten Italian wines. This is a great introduction to the wines of Italy (I know some of you need no introduction to Italian wine!) and a chance to discover the grapes and styles of some key regions.
