It’s British Beef week, so get out to your local butcher! British wine is up and coming but as yet our summers aren’t long enough to produce world class hefty reds - luckily the rest of the world can help. This case circumnavigates the globe and will leave you spoilt for choice - don’t be afraid to add a splash to the gravy!
This case contains;
1 x Terra Pura Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, Colchagua, Chile
Nice easy drinking Cabernet Sauvignon, bold fruit, dark in colour with berry fruit and balanced tannins. Perfect for Ribeye Steak.
1 x Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva, Puglia, Italy
A complex and balanced red. Cherry and red fruits with smoky undertones and a touch of tobacco. The tanins are light and balanced with appealing acidity. Rich Beef Casseroles & Stew.
1 x Pitchfork Shiraz South Eastern NSW Australia
Bright in colour and aromas of plum and red currant over toasty mocha and spicy oak. Full flavoured with blueberry and mocha notes. Well balanced tannins and give the wine great structure and length. Delicious with brisket.
1 x Gouguenheim 'Reserve' Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
Deep purple colour with aromas of red fruits, chocolate and coffee beans. Red and black cherry flavours with scents of red flowers. Lovely oaky notes on the finish, very complex and yet balanced. Great with grilled Sirloin Steak.
1 x Terra de Lobos Castelao Cabernet Sauvignon, Tejo, Portugal
Charming red with excellent depth. Ripe black and red fruits with a subtle floral edge and beautifully soft tannins leading to a fine and persistent finish. Really Versatile and great with any dark meat.
1 x Petit Verdot Classic Collection, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Dark cherry and plum aromas with rich mulberries, damsons and lots of spice over and good tannic finish. Rich enough for venison and game, but great with any cut of beef with a bit of fat running through the meat.
